Milking

Milking is an example of drawing on an old tradition

sealing vessels with milk. Currently, it is mainly used for

decorative. The ceramics are heated to a temperature

about 700 degrees, then removed from the oven* with special

tongs* and poured, dipped, splashed. The effect is

beautiful browns, spots, interesting streaks. Depth of browns

controlled by body temperature to stop browning,

the ceramics are immersed in water.

The second method is to soak the biscuit shell in milk.

and after drying, heating it in the oven* to a temperature

450 degrees. The firing process can be controlled by eye.

If it starts to brown, you can remove the ceramic and

cool if necessary.

After cleaning, the works are waxed, e.g. with a mixture

beeswax and linseed oil.
