Black Black

Black ceramics - a glazeless, deep black firing technique in a gas kiln. It is a combination of the possibilities offered by a gas kiln for Raku* and inspiration from black pottery from Podlasie. The works are perfectly smooth, or varied in texture. Fired in a gas kiln in a wider range of temperatures (800-1000). Subjected to fumigation in sawdust, cooled in water. After cleaning, the works are subjected to waxing, e.g. with a mixture of beeswax and linseed oil.
