May Day Raku
A bit different than every year. In the first days of May we are stopped by a project in Bielsko, so a later date appeared on May 18th.
One-day Raku workshops dedicated to several techniques and addressed to people with experience as well as those just starting their adventure with Raku ceramics.
What's on at the workshop:
Basic enamel techniques:
with reduction
with crackles
mixed/combined techniques
(Please notify before the workshop starts) to choose the technique
unglazed:
*horse hair/feather
*obvara/żurek/milk (to choose from)
*copper matte
*saggar/barrel
Small group of up to 6-8 people.
Please prepare 5 works. The works (all) SHOULD FIT on the surface of a circle with a diameter of 32 cm). This is important due to the capacity of the oven.
The basic size of the work is: base from 5 to 12 cm in diameter, height up to 25 - 30 cm (important due to the height of the stove). FLAT WORKS are not recommended.
Works fired to a biscuit. Preferably from clay with fireclay (e.g. Sio2 Prai, Praf, CJ 9 GS. SBK, wojatszek garncarska st4, Sibelco Raku, GS 468 and others with fireclay). Preferably light clays.
Polish your horse hair and saggar work well.
You can also buy ready-made biscuits from the workshop (please let me know in advance (approx. 10 days)
It is possible to burn additional work after consultation with the instructor or for an additional fee of approximately 60 PLN.
Cost of 1 workshop - PLN 310
People who have already attended the workshops have a discount, the cost for repeat participants is 240 PLN.
Accompanying person 50% of the workshop price.
By reservation we mean a non-refundable advance payment of PLN 100 for the workshop to the account provided in the e-mail.
The works can be made in our workshop - date to be agreed or according to the schedule
Two-hour classes 100 PLN. The studio provides materials: clay and biscuit firing.
Also available is a package of 5 works from the studio - PLN 250.
In the workshop there is hot tea, coffee, cookies and nutritious dahl soup, dessert and whatever comes to the cook's mind.
Please dress in clothes that can be dirty, prepare pottery, and treats for feasting together.

The workshops are led by a visual artist, teacher, therapist, member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists. Polish Applied Art, the Association of Polish Ceramists and the Łucznica Academy Association - Edi Malcer.
On her path she works with people, runs an art studio in Bielsko-Biała @Malceramika, which is mainly dedicated to clay and ceramic mosaic, but also hosts other fields of art such as batik, metal, fabric.
For over 25 years on the path of personal development. For 20 years she has been practicing yang style tai chi chuan, previously Wu, a graduate of the Silva Method, Silva Ultra, a student of the Feng Shui Academy, a recommended teacher of Vedic Art, Art Therapist, practitioner of the SoulBody Fusion healing method, a Reiki Therapist at the Master level and Access Bars.
Organizer of many artistic workshops, ceramic open-airs, event meetings, full of magic and fire outdoor ceramic firings using the Japanese Raku technique - (Unexpected Joy).
She loves the mountains so much that she organizes her own exhibitions and meetings on the trail. She says about herself that she only plants and happily watches what grows...
